I love anything that is both tragicomic and emotionally grounded, well-educated and character driven (think BREAKING BAD, SEARCH PARTY, I MAY DESTROY YOU, FREAKS AND GEEKS, FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD). I tend to be drawn to ideas that skew more drama than comedy, but very open to half-hour dramas\dramedies that have clear stakes on the table. I also love reading genre samples that break genre conventions and take risks.
Character is king. I enjoy seeing detailed, nuanced characters have a true impact on the story.
