Class Structure

Week One: In week one we’ll cover why you want to start a podcast, who your show is for and what your show is about. We’ll discuss various podcast formats and structures and the TLC each would require to make every week. Every writer will get to pitch a log line for their podcast idea and we’ll work through each concept to make sure it has a strong foundation on which the writer can write a full pitch.

Week Two: In week two we’ll cover a few technical aspects including finding a producer, publishing and marketing. Then each writer will get to present a 3 minute podcast pitch to the class. The instructor will give notes and feedback on each. We’ll end the class with some thoughts on how to build a community around your show and embrace your identity as a podcaster.

Joining Sessions:
Live sessions will be conducted via video conferencing software ZOOM. If you have never used ZOOM before: when you click the link, the ZOOM software will automatically download.
