Here is the list of programs for Top Tier April that you should all have be aware of!

Marketing Email: 

Send me (joey@roadmapwriters.com) your marketing list by April 15th! This needs to include:

• 50 companies that you feel would be right for your script
• Your bio (written in the third person and in paragraph form)
• Title of script, logline, genre, format and tonal comps

Marketing Check Ins:

Please come in with a list of companies that have requested your script from December - February so I can follow up. Also come in with 3-5 companies you would like me to email for marketing purposes.

Roundtables:

If you are not scheduled in a session, you should still attend as there is sometimes room for auditors to do a 3 minute pitch at the end.

If you are running late for a session, can't find a link or are having technical difficulties, please email moderatorroadmap@gmail.com and put the exec's name in the subject line that you are referring to.

Each scheduled writer gets 20 minutes. Make sure you have emailed the executive your script and your bio at least 5 days before your session. Below are their emails.

ONLY email an executive if you are in their session. Any other email sent to an exec will be deleted. Emailing execs you are not scheduled for will just confuse an exec and it will not be a good look.

Alex will email you Zoom links for each weekend's sessions on the Friday before that weekend. 

Do's and Don't's of roundtables:

DO'S:

• Make sure you email the exec up to 2 sets of scripts (they will read 15 pages), 1 page synopsises of your scripts, your bio and the accompanying loglines. The exec will read 1 set of 15 pages from you based on which logline resonates the most and let you know what they read at the beginning of your session. They will also read a 1 page synopsis of your script and your bio prior to the session. 
• Keep it conversational.
• Have a 5-7 minute pitch prepared and have elevator pitches prepared.
• If you are on a roundtable, be ready to pitch at any time.
• Make sure to keep an eye on the Zoom chat box in case the moderator is trying to message you. 
• Be open to any feedback you receive in the roundtable. 

DON'TS:

• Do not ask the exec if you can send them additional material.
• Do not say things like "this is the first time I'm pitching this, I'm not really prepared, etc."
• Do not keep camera on if you are going to do something distracting and keep your mic off until its your turn.
• If you couldn't attend the beginning of the roundtable when the exec introduces themselves, do not ask the exec to reintroduce themselves when it's your turn.
