About Your Host

Beverly Neufeld graduated from UCLA’s MFA Screenwriting program. She received the covetous Samuel Goldwyn Award (first place) for her Latina gang drama, BROWN WIDOW, which also won the UCLA Screenwriting Showcase and came in 6th at the Chesterfield Competition. Since then she has been a finalist in the Nicholl twice. Beverly is the founder and president of the UCLA MFA Screenwriting Alumni Organization dubbed “The UCLA Cartel.” Beverly freelances as a script reader and consultant for various agencies, companies, and competitions such as CAA, Gersh, FOX, Slamdance and the PAGE competition, and recently was the director of development at Juntobox Films working with filmmakers Philippe Caland and Forest Whitaker.
