About Your Host

With fifteen years of experience developing and producing scripted and unscripted series for broadcast, cable, and digital platforms, Allegra Newman is driven to create compelling characters and stories across comedies, dramas, and docu-series. At MarVista Entertainment, an independent film studio based in Los Angeles with partnerships in Toronto and Latin America, she oversaw development of low-budget female-driven thrillers and romantic comedies. Prior to this, she was Director of Development for Nickelodeon's live-action department, where two of the pilots she helped manage - KNIGHT SQUAD and COUSINS FOR LIFE - were both picked up to series. Before jumping into scripted development, she also served as a production executive at the Hub Network and produced story for various unscripted series and game shows, including PARENTS JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND with host Joey Fatone, NBC's DEAL OR NO DEAL and FOX's TRADING SPOUSES and KITCHEN NIGHTMARES.

Morgan Pichinson currently works at Canary House Productions. She was born in Los Angeles and graduated from Indiana University. She began her career at Verve Talent & Literary Agency working in motion picture and television lit, then went to work at STX Entertainment, and following that to Mosaic in comedy management where she later was promoted in Film & TV production. Give her a comedy or love story and she’ll be a happy camper.

Justine Patrick is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Haverford College, where she majored in Political Science, French and Africana studies.She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013 with a Masters in Entertainment Industry Management after completing creative development internships at Mandalay, MGM, Jerry Bruckheimer Films, and Overbrook (Will Smith’s company). She then spent 21 months years as an assistant to Sandra Lucchesi, a SVP Feature Literary Agent at Gersh and worked with clients such as Andrea Arnold (Fishtank, Wuthering Heights), Lucy Alibar (Beasts of the Southern Wild) to name a few.

Maddie Breeland went to film school at Emerson College in Boston. She started her career in LA working in development at Fox2000 before moving over to Disney. Maddie's been at Disney for almost 5 years and loves working with the amazing Disney brand and bringing new life to such a legacy.

Jeremiah Smith worked as a script reader and analyst for Mar Vista Entertainment who produces content for Lifetime, Hallmark, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Amazon Prime, and independent film markets. He’s written for animation, live-action comedy, and recently was hired to rewrite an indie thriller going into production in June. When not geeking out on books, comics, video games, television, movies, and whatever else catches his fancy, he can be found torturing his family and friends with some semi-terrible-ish jokes.

At the age of 21, Steven Bagatourian's screenplay, WEASEL, won the Grand Prize in the international Cinestory Screenwriting Awards com­pe­tition. Since then, Steven has sold scripts to many companies, including Warner Bros, New Crime Productions, Mandalay Entertainment, Participant Media, Echo Lake Productions, and 20th Century Fox.

AMERICAN GUN (2005), co-written by Steven, was released in theaters by IFC Films; it starred Forest Whitaker, Marcia Gay Harden, and Donald Sutherland; the film was nominated for three Independent Spirit Awards (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress).

Steven was the original writer for the Tupac biopic, ALL EYEZ ON ME, having written the first six drafts of the film for Morgan Creek Productions. He has also enjoyed a fruitful collaboration with Alcon Entertainment (THE BLINDSIDE, BLADERUNNER 2049), on multiple projects, the most recent being an upcoming biopic of legendary Harlem street basketball icon, Pee Wee Kirkland.

Over the years, Steven has worked on a wide variety of film and theater projects with world class professionals, ranging from Denzel Washington to Dr. Dre. He lives in Los Angeles.
