Zvi Howard Rosenman, one of the most prolific producers in film and television, is best known for having produced the hilarious remake of FATHER OF THE BRIDE with Steve Martin, THE MAIN EVENT starring Barbra Streisand, Sidney Lumet’s A STRANGER AMONG US starring Melanie Griffith, SHINING THROUGH starring Ms. Griffith, Michael Douglas and Liam Neeson, RESURRECTION, STRAIGHT TALK, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, FAMILY MAN starring Nicolas Cage, GROSS ANATOMY (the story of Mr. Rosenman’s years in medical school), TRUE IDENTITY, LOST ANGELS directed by Hugh Hudson, NOEL with Susan Sarandon, Robin Williams, Penelope Cruz and Paul Walker, YOU KILL ME with Sir Ben Kingsley and the Oscar-winning documentary COMMON THREADS: STORIES FROM THE QUILT as well as PARAGRAPH 175 about gays in the Holocaust. Rosenman’s films have won 2 Peabody Awards, an Academy Award and top honors at the Sundance, Berlin and Cannes Film Festivals. In TV, Rosenman was the Executive Producer of HBO’s JOHN FROM CINCINNATI and the Oscar-nominated documentary THE CELLULOID CLOSET. He also won several Emmys for Harvey Feirstein’s TIDY ENDINGS at HBO. Mr. Rosenman garnered two prestigious George Foster Peabody Awards for Excellence in Electronic Journalism for both COMMON THREADS and CELLULOID CLOSET.
Rosenman also produced the award winning CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, written by James Ivory of “Merchant–Ivory” fame, and directed by Luca Guadagnino (I AM LOVE & A BIGGER SPLASH) and is based on the hit novel by Andre Aciman, was rapturously received. It is a gay first-love movie set near Milan in the Summer of 1983. It was bought by SONY PICTURES CLASSICS and was released November 24th, 2017. Across the boards the reviews have been ecstatic garnering a 100 on Rotten Tomatoes and 98 on MetaCritic and five stars from The Guardian. MetaCritic also deemed the movie the fifth Best Reviewed movie of all time with “The Godfather” being Number One. Armie Hammer, Timothy Chalamet and Michael Stuhlbarg starred in the movie. Peter Spears is his partner. The movie was nominated for four Oscars: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Song. It won Best Adapted Screenplay by James Ivory.
Richard Lowe is a comedy writer who most recently wrote the season one finale of DR. KEN for ABC. His original pilot, GROWING UP DICTATOR (a comedic look at the childhood of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un), is a finalist at the 2016 Austin Film Festival and made the 2016 Staffing Survey, a list of the year's best TV staffing samples. His satirical pilot EDUCATION, SECONDARY was a semifinalist (top 10) at the 2013 Austin Film Festival. His spec of the show WORKAHOLICS was in the top 5% of the Warner Bros. Writer's Workshop. He has also written for the NBC Diversity Scene Showcase and ABC Talent Showcase. He studied improv and sketch with Upright Citizens Brigade, performed stand-up at the Hollywood Improv and shoots sketch comedy videos on his YouTube channel Aisle Five Comedy. Prior to becoming a writer, he was an editor and assistant editor, most recently working on the Emmy-winning drama THE GOOD WIFE.
At the age of 21, Steven Bagatourian's screenplay, WEASEL, won the Grand Prize in the international Cinestory Screenwriting Awards competition. Since then, Steven has sold scripts to many companies, including Warner Bros, New Crime Productions, Mandalay Entertainment, Participant Media, Echo Lake Productions, and 20th Century Fox. <br><br> AMERICAN GUN (2005), co-written by Steven, was released in theaters by IFC Films; it starred Forest Whitaker, Marcia Gay Harden, and Donald Sutherland; the film was nominated for three Independent Spirit Awards (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress). Steven was the original writer for the Tupac biopic, ALL EYEZ ON ME, having written the first six drafts of the film for Morgan Creek Productions. He has also enjoyed a fruitful collaboration with Alcon Entertainment (THE BLINDSIDE, BLADERUNNER 2049), on multiple projects, the most recent being an upcoming biopic of legendary Harlem street basketball icon, Pee Wee Kirkland. Over the years, Steven has worked on a wide variety of film and theater projects with world class professionals, ranging from Denzel Washington to Dr. Dre. He lives in Los Angeles.
Michael Poisson is an Emmy-nominated screenwriter who is currently staffed on Adult Swim's ROBOT CHICKEN. He was previously staffed on Netflix's RAISING DION and recently attached Red Hour (Ben Stiller's company) to one of his pilots. He has served as a producer and Creative Director for Silent Machine Entertainment (Krysten Ritter's company), where he oversaw the creation, development, and pitching of various television projects including single cam/multi-cam comedies, and dramas. He recently finished shooting the THE DEMONS OF DORIAN GUNN in New York for the Pop network, where he worked as co-Executive Producer on the pilot. Michael has also had a pilot in development with DarkFire Television (Ryan Reynolds’ company), as well as a graphic novel published by Fanboy Comics: www.thearcscomic.com. His writing has placed in various competitions including the Austin Film Festival and TVWriter.com. Michael has also previously served as a writer's assistant on the Fullscreen/Audience Network series CASSANDRA FRENCH'S FINISHING SCHOOL FOR BOYS.
John Shepherd has worked in development for 20+ years and was a writer on the sitcom Nurse Jackie. Most recently, John ran development for New Republic Pictures, whose credits include ROCKETMAN and Best Picture nominated 1917 from director Sam Mendes. Previously, John was involved with Best Picture Oscar nominated films Black Swan and Hacksaw Ridge, among many others.
Lee Stobby is a producer, literary manager, and principal of Lee Stobby Entertainment who has over 10 years of management and producing experience. Some of his client highlights include: Shay Hatten, who was a writer on JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 and is currently writing JOHN WICK 4, Rodney Ascher (ROOM 237, THE NIGHTMARE), who is directing the upcoming GLITCH IN THE MATRIX about how we live in a simulated reality, and Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy (THE TRIBE), who is directing THE TIGER for Focus with Darren Aronofsky and Plan B producing. Stobby’s Producing highlights and credits include SISTER AIMEE, which premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival; WILDLING starring Bel Powley, Liv Tyler and Brad Dourif and premiered at SXSW; TEST PATTERN, which premiered at the Black Star Film Festival and won Best Producing at the New Orleans Film Festival; and scripts setup with Matt Reeves’ 6th and Idaho, Universal, and Netflix, including the #1 Black List Script BUBBLES.
Bobby Hoppey is a seasoned developer and story analyst and a founding member of Valparaiso Pictures. Bobby previously spent two years as the primary feature development executive at Echo Lake Entertainment, an independent production company and financier, where he managed the film division's slate. Prior to his executive roles, Bobby served as assistant to Echo Lake's CEO and President, in addition to a tenure with the company's talent management actor division where he worked closely with clients including Dakota and Elle Fanning. Bobby holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Elon University.
Devon Byers is currently a Literary Manager / Producer with First Friday Entertainment, a company he co-founded. He was formerly a Creative Executive at production company Ideate Media, and before that, an award-winning freelance producer working on a variety of content. Devon realized the importance of fresh and unique voices that should be pushed to diversify the entertainment landscape and began this new venture. He hails from Las Vegas, Nevada and received his MFA from the American Film Institute.
