Do you feel like you have a whole host of ideas rattling around in your head but have no idea which one to focus on? Do you want guidance and advice as you prepare something new? Do you want a weekly meeting with tailored assignments to hold you accountable as you develop your next project?
If you said yes to any of these, then an Incubator is just what the doctor ordered! This brand new, four-week class will put you through your development paces and ensure that you get writing on the best foot possible.
Week #1 - Writers will submit concept, logline, character breakdowns, and outline prior to the first week's class for this exec to review. Your exec will give verbal feedback this week.
Week #2 - Writers will submit their revised outline prior to this week and this exec will make sure each writer's outline is structurally sound by giving another round of notes to fine tune.
Week #3 - Writers will submit the first act for this exec to give feedback on in this class.
Week #4 - Writers will submit a revised act one and as many pages as they can write prior to this week's class for this exec to review and give verbal feedback on in this class!
Scott Schulman went off on his own two years ago after working at More/Medavoy Management for four years. He first started representing actors and then transitioned to writers. He is currently building a roster of emerging voices and has a passion for representing and inspiring writers. He also is very adamant about breaking the barrier for women by helping get their voices heard. Before More/Medavoy, Schulman was at Abrams Artist Agency for a year as a junior agent in below the line packaging. He got his start working at Fremantle in business affairs as coordinator in both scripted and non-scripted television. He is currently doing business with Peacock, Will Packer Productions, Point Grey, IDW, Curation Entertainment, CJ Entertainment, HartBeat, Octopie, Madica and others.
Scott continues to serve on the Board of Directors for the entertainment organization, HRTS Associates. “Dream big and dare to fail”, says Schulman.
Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to your syllabus, instructions for submitting material (if any), and the link to join the Live Class. Sessions are conducted via video conferencing software ZOOM. You will receive a link to the recording of the session via email following the live session.
Payment plans are available for most multi-week classes. For 4-week programs, your balance will be due the second week of class. For longer programs, the balance will be broken up into 3 or 4 payments with the final payment due prior to the final week of class. Please note that you are responsible for the full price of the class even if you decide not to complete the program for any reason.
You may cancel for a full refund up to 72 hrs. prior to the start of the class. Cancellations requested after this deadline will be ineligible for refunds.
