Ana Sessions grew up in Seattle, Washington until moving to Los Angeles to pursue a double degree in Business Administration and Critical Studies of Film. Ana then segued into TV when she worked at ICM Partners because of the quality of storytelling and opportunity for rich character development before coming to Lionsgate 3 years ago in 2017. Ana fully transitioned to the TV Development team in May of last year and has served as the development coordinator since.
As an independent studio, Lionsgate has projects in active development or production at almost every broadcast, cable, premium, and streaming outlet. Lionsgate owns premium network STARZ and partners with them often, but the TV division is constantly looking for new outlets to share content with consumers and prides themselves on being entrepreneurial first movers when it comes to taking risks on new platforms. Lionsgate's shows past and present span across all genres, and the TV group has the unique ability to go after projects in all worlds and spaces as no genre is off limits since the team's passion for a particular show drives our ability to find the best home for it.
Lionsgate's projects are set up all around town, with shows at STARZ, HBO, HBO Max, Showtime, Quibi, Hulu, Apple, Peacock, NBC, FOX, CBS, ABC, Amazon, Netflix, TNT, TBS, and FX to name a few. Some of the projects coming soon from Lionsgate include LOVE LIFE (HBO Max), FIRST LADIES (Showtime), POWER BOOK II: GHOST (Starz), HEELS (Starz), HIGHTOWN (Starz), SWIMMING WITH SHARKS (Quibi), among many more. The TV team also has numerous production deals in place with pods and companies like 3 Arts, BBC Studios, Point Grey (Seth Rogen), PictureStart, Feig Co. (Paul Feig), The Tannenbaum Company, Megamix (Jonathan Levine), Universal Music Group, End of Episode (Courtney Kemp), Jenny Bicks, and many other talented creators.
