"Chris does a great job of explaining the process, and providing multiple examples of how seemingly unrelated movies are all using the same process - made some things 'click' for me." - Paul B.

We launched Roadmap Writers 3 years ago to create a fully immersive, transparent online platform for emerging screenwriters. In just 3 years we have helped over 70 writers get signed to nearly every major agency and management company in the industry and helped dozens more to get their projects optioned, sold, and produced.

We are so proud of the major strides all of our writers are making and we are excited for more years of success!

In celebration of our 3 Year Anniversary, we hand-selected manager Chris Deckard from Fictional Entity, one of our most trusted executives (and a writer favorite), to host a month-long Writers Challenge to get creative juices flowing and set our writers up for success this year!

Every Wednesday in April, Chris will host a 1-hour Webinar highlighting a different facet of screenwriting followed by a live Q&A to walk each writer into writing their next script!

How It Works:

  • Each week, Chris will cover a different aspect of screenwriting, from creating commercial concepts, to character development, to outlining, to actual tips on how to write your strongest pages yet.
  • You will submit your topic-appropriate questions to Chris prior to each 1-hour Webinar so Chris can prepare to cover all topics during the session. Following each lecture, Chris will answer your questions live.
  • At the end of each session, Chris will assign your self-study Challenge for the week, designed to help you help yourself do your best work ever!
  • As always, all Webinars are recorded and all registrants will receive the recordings after the live broadcast!

Week #1: Creating Commercial Concepts
Week #2: Developing Characters & Properly Structuring Your Script
Week #3: Writing a Strong Act 1
Week #4: How to Keep an Exec Hooked Through Act 2 & Act 3

We encourage all of you to keep creating content and we’re super excited for Chris to help you make your next script shine!
Here's to more amazing years to come!
