Tavi Kaunitz is a comedy development executive based in Los Angeles, raised in the Dallas area, and immigrant from Romania. Most recently she worked at Comedy Central for almost four years and was the executive in charge of the third and final season of Corporate (a dark half-hour scripted series about the mundane nature of working at a global conglomerate - go figure!). She has always had a passion for comedy TV and stand-up, starting with her love of Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons as a kid. She began her career in comedy after moving to LA in 2013 following her graduation from the University of North Texas, where she worked as an assistant to Comedy Touring agent at Gersh. In her two years at Gersh she was able to cultivate relationships with talent and other executives in the local stand-up community. She then became the assistant to Nikki Glaser for Season 1 of her Comedy Central format series centered around relationships and sex, Not Safe with Nikki Glaser. That brought her to the Talent & Development department at Comedy Central where she was involved in sourcing and developing adult animated series, live-action narrative series, and various formats for the cable network. While there, she was the junior executive on Drunk History Season 7, the executive on the hybrid webseries, Dope Movies (3 episodes), animated Snapchat series George Washington: DTF (10 episodes), and shepherded various script development and produced pilots.
